The Ripper Jr is simply a scaled-down version of the Ripper X: smaller
frame, smaller bars, shorter cranks, smaller/lighter stem, & 1 1/8
tires for a smaller rider. Its built with an aluminum frame, fork,
bars, & cranks, as well as high-end cassette hubs, Tioga tires,
& a lightweight seat/seatpost combo. Note that the fork steerer tube
has moved from Cr-Mo to alloy on this bike, as it is designed for
smaller riders.
