This is the kit you need if you need new brakes for a bike that has 990 mounts on the frame. Most freestyle and dirt jumping bikes have 990 mounts (studs welded to the chain or seat stays on the rear end of the frame)
V-Brake mounts are usually found on Racing style bikes. V-brake studs look similar, but require V-brakes and not 990 U brakes. You will need a good cable cutter to trim the extra length from the cable. We recommend the Part CN-10. It also crimps the nipple at the end on the cable and works for cutting other wires too.
